Privacy & cookies.

Your information, explained clearly.

Updated 2 October 2026

This notice explains how Done n Dusted uses information from website visitors, service enquiries & job applicants. For a privacy question or request, email service@donendustedcheshire.co.uk or call 01270 761581.

When you get in touch.

We collect the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, phone number, postcode or area, the service you need & your message. We use them to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, discuss arrangements & provide services you request.

Information needed to prepare or carry out an agreement is used to take steps at your request before entering a contract, or to fulfil that contract. For general questions & administration, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact our business.

Providing your contact details & enough information about the work helps us respond. The form marks its required fields; the other fields are optional. Keep private access codes, payment details & sensitive personal information out of the message.

When you apply to join us.

The application form collects your name, email address, any phone number you provide, your town or area, availability & any work experience you choose to describe. The role is cleaning with part-time hours. No CV or attachments are requested.

We use this information to consider your suitability, discuss available work & contact you about your application. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in recruiting suitable staff, together with steps taken at your request towards an employment contract where relevant.

People involved in recruitment review applications. The website does not make automated hiring decisions. Please leave out medical information, identification documents & other sensitive details at this stage.

How long we keep it.

Our copies of enquiries that do not become customers are kept for up to one year after the last contact. Unsuccessful job applications are kept for up to one year after the recruitment decision. They are then deleted, unless we need particular information for an outstanding dispute or a legal requirement.

If you become a customer or employee, the relevant information is kept for the relationship & afterwards where needed for accounting, employment obligations, resolving queries or legal claims. The type of record, the purpose it still serves & any legal requirement determine the retention period.

The existing quote-form provider, Web3Forms, states that it may retain submission data for up to three years unless a shorter period applies or the data is deleted earlier. Its copies are separate from our email records. Contact us if you would like us to arrange deletion with the provider.

The services that help us run the website.

Access to your enquiry or application is limited to people who need it to respond, deliver services or handle recruitment. Our website & email providers process information to support those activities:

  • Hostinger hosts the website & the job-application handler. Technical information, such as an IP address & server activity, may be processed to operate & protect the site.
  • Microsoft provides the email service used to receive & reply to enquiries & applications.
  • Web3Forms processes the customer quote form & delivers enquiry messages. Its infrastructure & spam-protection providers may also process submission information.
  • Google provides optional Analytics when you accept it. The website also requests font files from Google Fonts to display its typefaces; this is separate from optional Analytics.

These providers may process information outside the UK. Their privacy notices explain their processing arrangements. Web3Forms operates from India & describes contractual safeguards in its data processing agreement. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your enquiry or application.

Website security uses checks to limit abuse. The application handler temporarily records a hashed identifier derived from an IP address to limit repeated attempts; it does not store application answers in website files.

Cookies & your choice.

Cookies & similar browser storage can remember information between visits. Essential features remain available when you reject optional cookies. Google Analytics is loaded only after you accept analytics cookies.

Your cookie choice
Browser storage called dnd_cookie_choice_v1 remembers acceptance or rejection for 180 days. After that, we ask again. This storage is necessary to respect your choice.
Application security
The dnd_application session cookie helps protect job applications against unauthorised submissions. It is used when the application service is connected, lasts for the browser session & is an essential security feature.
Optional Google Analytics
Cookies such as _ga & _ga_* help distinguish visits & understand which pages are used. The website sets their lifetime to 180 days. Google receives technical & usage information, such as browser or device information & pages visited. Advertising personalisation & Google signals are disabled in this website's tag.

Choose “Reject optional cookies” or “Accept analytics cookies” in the banner. You can reopen it through Cookie settings in any footer, or use the button below. Withdrawing acceptance stops future analytics collection & removes accessible analytics cookies; it does not automatically erase information already processed by Google.

You can also remove cookies & browser storage in your browser settings. That may reset your choice & affect features such as submitting a form.

Your information. Your rights.

Depending on the purpose & lawful basis, you can ask to access your information, correct it, have it deleted, restrict its use or receive a portable copy where that right applies. These rights can be subject to legal conditions.

You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Explain your circumstances when contacting us so we can consider your request.

You can withdraw optional analytics consent at any time through Cookie settings. To ask about information already held, email service@donendustedcheshire.co.uk. We may need to check your identity before sharing personal information.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. You can contact us first if you would like us to try to resolve a concern.
